Hi guys! Aron,very well said! Yah,I agree to all that you've said, :-) ! For the new ribbed-tailights(grooved-type,depending on how you see it),I read that it was designed in such manner because the air turbulence caused would reduce the dirt on the lens,compared to the older flat-type,thus the cleaner lens(read:safer).

Also,since the grille is different on the two models(pre/post 1973),the bonnet and the two front fenders are different too,to accommodate the styling of the older narrow&taller/newer wide&squatter grille.Also,on the later model,there's this plastic grille on the front panel underneath the front bumper,to provide additional air ventilation for the cooling system.
