I do agree with you fiatman that mudah and the VSS did inflate the prices a little.

A little more about mudah is that there are so called 'sellers' who don't actually own these cars! They spotted the car, spoke to the owner, got a price, marked it up and past if off as their own on the for sale ad. Came across any of such? :)

Over the odds for an immaculate specimen would not be a suprise :) Being immaculate would cause less head & heart ache as they say ;)

I also agree that parts are hard to come by and furthermore, if the car was 'restored' through the 'Malaysia Boleh' way, the investment would soon turn into a bottomless cash pit and the dream classic would soon be a nightmare!!! ;)
