How do you guys take this new ruling which would take in effect in May 2010 that price of fuel will be determined on vehicle engine capacity?

Does this mean a 2008 Mercedes B170 which was priced at RM200K and a brand new BMW 318i priced over RM200k will be enjoying cheap fuel because the so call idea by the government that "Poor people would only drive small capacity cars" and “Malaysians who are not eligible are those who drive a higher engine capacity car or non-Malaysians (another brain fart idea to encourage people to support PROTON). They will have to pay RM2.10 or more for RON95,”?

That means if you own a 1980 Mercedes 250 which is about 29 years old does not get entitled to fuel subsidy because its capacity is high and its a German make which are still used by retired personnel's and uncles of these days? Some poor guy still use it because it is a reliable banger..

What do you all think? Is this idea a sheer stupidity or brilliant?
