I think they won the Monte Carlo Rallye before but was disqualified because of technicalities!

Have seen a very mint one with Malacca, owned by a Dr, was getting an engine overhaul and according to the workshop owner, quite an active vintage racer.

Well kept, roll caged, with a very clean undercarriage and I remember the seats had some limited edition anniversary/rally stiching on it. The only downside was a huge sun roof which I am still pretty sure was an aftermarket non-original feature.

Nice price nowadays, last I checked in Auto-Trader, there was a nice green one going for RM35k :)

Never driven one but was a passenger in a GT before and that was a fun experience itself, zippy, fun and fast!
