When I said "aero fuel", I meant fuel as used by aeroplanes. I don't know whether his Lotus engine was modified but I know he got his aero fuel from a petrol station in Bukit Timah Road, Singapore on a hush hush basis. All this was way back in the late 60s when I was still at the Univ of Singapore. I was driving my Cooper S then and I never had the need to use a higher grade fuel to make it go faster. It was fast enough for me.I don't think those Rothman's Capris were ever raced? Were they in the Series Production races? They might have been used as sweep cars during GPs? As far as I know those Capris were driven by the Rothman's top executives. In fact I have a pic of YF Chin (the then GM of Rothmans) standing next to his Capri at the 1977 Penang Circuit Races. I was Secretary of the Meet of the Penang Circuit Races for a couple of years. Let me see whether I can find pic.
