When I said "aero fuel", I meant fuel as used by aeroplanes. I don't know whether his Lotus engine was modified but I know he got his aero fuel from a petrol station in Bukit Timah Road, Singapore on a hush hush basis. All this was way back in the late 60s when I was still at the Univ of Singapore. I was driving my Cooper S then and I never had the need to use a higher grade fuel to make it go faster. It was fast enough for me.

I don't think those Rothman's Capris were ever raced? Were they in the Series Production races? They might have been used as sweep cars during GPs? As far as I know those Capris were driven by the Rothman's top executives. In fact I have a pic of YF Chin (the then GM of Rothmans) standing next to his Capri at the 1977 Penang Circuit Races. I was Secretary of the Meet of the Penang Circuit Races for a couple of years. Let me see whether I can find pic.
