1." Waterfront District" comprising the Esplanade, Fort Cornwallis, Weld Quay, Beach Street & the harbour area.
2. "Historical Commercial Centre" includes Bishop Street, Church Street, China Street, Market Street, Chulia Street & Little India.
3. "Guilds & Trades Precinct" are Muntri Street, Leith Street and adjacent areas.
4. "Chinese Clan Enclave" comprise of the Khoo Kongsi, Cheah Kongsi, Tan Kongsi, Lim Kongsi, Yap Kongsi & Yeoh Kongsi which are all in the Armenian Street, Cannon Street & Cannon Square areas.
5. "Street of Harmony" is inevitably Jalan Mesjid Kapitan Keling which has the Kapitan Keling Mosque, Kuan Yin Temple and St George's Church all within a short walking distance.

As I said earlier, we now have a lot to do in terms of maintenance, preservation and conservation. We should never embarrass UNESCO for listing George Town.

Feel free to check out the new section and maybe you can help us by making some suggestions as to how we can live up to the listing of being a World Heritage Site. And George Town is not merely another world heritage site, it is a LIVING heritage site.

Over at the new section you will need to register again in order to post. I will be adding photos there almost everyday from now to reflect the progress.
